What was the date of this concert? Confused, because I thought she was playing in Moscow in December (07)! For anyone wanting to see more of this amazing pianist there's quite a lot on YouTube, including a cadenza for the Beethoven concerto mentioned here -- fabulously played -- and (I think) two Schubert encores played at these concerts.

Sounds like an excellent evening, Have always wanted to hear classical music played live, but its so very expensive to do so in London.

I have to listen to Classic FM, CD or on the TV, I just wish I had the popportunity to learn to play when I was at school, alas it just wasn't done there.

The shadow bothered me I must admit. It is my shot and not Olga's - she would have gone to a lot of trouble to eliminate the shadow. I can see that I could at least have removed my own shadow by taking two steps to the right!! more…

I commented on your other post too, once again great pictures, and a nice article, I do sometimes criticise only a small one (sorry) the last photo is somewhat spoiled by the shadow across it. But heh what the heck its not that bad and it still looks good and most importantly, you like it.

I like the photograph’s, as a budding amateur photographer myself, I always find myself studying other peoples shots, the light on these particular pictures is first class, I really like the shot through the arched window. Great work!

I went yesterday to Tsaritsina Park in the south of Moscow.

The metro is indeed a marvel - a work of art in itself.
